Bio
Twenty-two years ago, Debbie Porter, mother of three, got into photography by taking her children's pictures for an acting agency. Her daughter was involved in modeling and commercials, while Debbie kept getting assignments from her children's agent to photograph other talent. Within two years she was working for commercial clients in Texas and locations across the states. It wasn't long before she was working with some of the best talent in the industry. Although she had a serious interest in photography in high school, she has had no other formal training in photography. Ms. Porter went to college to study commercial art and went on to get an Associates Art Degree. A degree that definitely contributes to successfully creating images that sell. She is best described as an unconventional photographer, with a versatile style.
Personal Notes
Through photography I've learned to focus on
the essence of my subject and capture the depth of that moment. The opportunities that have stemmed from my career and the people that have shared their joy and appreciation for my work is the greatest reward. It's been a great adventure! I truly feel blessed to have discovered the gifts and talents God has given. |
