Close to thirty years ago, Debbie Porter, mother of three, went from taking her daughter to acting auditions, to becoming a full-time photographer. Just a few years later she was shooting major campaigns for magazines and catalogs such as Lands End and JC Penny’s. Debbie is known as one of Texas’ own celebrity photographers but she has been shooting in many places around the world. What you may not know is she has published (written & illustrated) a few children’s books. From the brand “Fabulous Phebe”, she started her own children’s fashion line and is working on a children’s TV pilot pitch. Debbie has a passion for many genres in the creative. With a heart for empowering others, whether it’s behind the camera or with an audience. Her philosophy is creativity is not limited, the camera is a tool, just as a paint brush is a tool. Photography is the platform that have provided many opportunities, giving her the experience to handle any photography need. With an Associate Art Degree, she has been able to approach any endeavor from an unconventional approach.
